National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD) is celebrated on the day of April 16 every year. In Mesa County, its National Healthcare Decisions week, as there are activities planned over various days.
NHDD "exists to inspire, educate and boost the public and providers about the significance of advance care planning." Advance care planning is about individuals making decisions now, while capable and healthy, about the type of care they want when they are no longer capable to make those decisions themselves.
