LOS ANGELES, Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In accordance to the new survey conducted by leading personal finance website GOBankingRates.com, 43% of Americans hope to pay more for health insurance in the year 2016, with 23% anticipating to pay "a little more than the previous year" and 20% hoping to pay "a lot more than the previous year."
To analyze what type of cost increases Americans are expecting, GOBankingRates conducted a Google Consumer Survey, inquiring over 5,000 respondents, "How much do you hope to pay for healthcare in the next year?"
The breakdown of reaction according to the 4 answers options is as follows:
- Less than the previous year — 20 percent
- Similar as the previous year — 37 percent
- A little more than the previous year — 23 percent
- A lot more than the previous year — 20 percent
