In the intimate atmosphere of a union hall Friday evening, Ex-President Bill Clinton asserted a crowd of about 500 persons in Peoria to vote for Hillary Clinton merely a few days ahead of the Illinois primary Tuesday, March 15. The occasion was planned last-minute Thursday evening after the Ex-president’s policies shifted from 2 other cities, in accordance to Billy Halstead, chairman of the Peoria County Democrats.
Talking to a diverse crowd with a heavy union presence at the hall of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 649, Bill Clinton urged the huge ways Hillary Clinton differed from her Democratic opponent Bernie Sanders, starting with healthcare. Sanders champions moving to a single-payer system whereas Hillary Clinton supports staying the course with the Affordable Care Act.
