Healthcare giant Philips has officially inaugrated the Philips Blockchain Lab, a research and development center situated in Amsterdam and concentrated on the emerging technology.
In a post on its website, Philips claimed that the lab follows 6 months of exploratory research, and that the objective of the effort is to unite the company's IT experts, healthcare experts and blockchain developers to sustain this progress.
Philips demonstrated that it is finding collaborators and developers to conduct projects, offering a form on the website where consumers can subscribe to a newsletter or voice their interest in engaging in future initiatives.
Notably, the company also hinted at to how it considers blockchain could be applied for healthcare use cases.
