Nursing role in promoting healthcare emphasized

Chief Nursing Superintendant, Services Hospital, Samina Yasmin has stated that nursing has very significant role in provision of healthcare services and promotion of health sector. The Punjab government has taken matchless initiatives and strategies for the betterment of nurses working in hospitals throughout the Punjab and empowerment of female folk.


She depicted these views while talking on a function arranged in connection with the World Nursing Day, in accordance to a press release published on Tuesday. Deputy Chief Nursing Superintendant, Lahore General Hospital, Farhat Mahboob and President Young Nurses Association, Shamshad Niazi, addressed on the occasion. Samina Yasmin said World Nursing Day is being analyzed under a slogan “Nurses; A force for change, improving health systems resilience” in the whole world including Pakistan. Our nurses are working for the noble cause of promoting humanity and to serve the ailing ones along with the world community”. She emphasized the nurses to adopt sympathetic and polite attitude with sufferers and their attendants.


Deputy Chief Nursing Superintendent Farhat Mahboob stated that the nursing sector was discovered in Pakistan by Begum Raana Liaqat Ali Khan and the purpose to observe this day is to make awareness about the services of nurses for humanity. She claimed nurses are the backbone of health sector and with the passage of time, respect and importance of this sector has increased immensely which was not possible without the support of the government. She stated that the continuity in the policies adopted by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is important for decreasing difficulties of the nurses.
